Vega Squadron emerged victorious from China Top, which took place over the last three days in Kunshan, China, earlier today with a 2-0 win over ViCi in the grand final.

Four teams, Vega Squadron, ViCi, BOOT-d[S], and GoldenMix gathered in Kunshan, China, on September 29 to fight for a share of the ~$100,000 prize pot on offer.

The tournament was played in a double elimination, best-of-three bracket, where ViCi and Vega Squadron grabbed 2-0 wins early on and fought in the upper final. There, the Chinese prevailed after another two-mapper, with the veterans BingYuan "⁠tb⁠" Li and Bin "⁠Savage⁠" Liu each topping the scoreboard on one map.

Vega Squadron grabbed $46,000 in prizemoney at China Top

In the lower bracket final, BOOT-d[S] swept GoldenMix without much trouble, before the Singaporean side fell to Vega Squadron in the consolidation final.

The rematch between the Russian side and Savage's squad saw Dmitriy "⁠jR⁠" Chervak & co. take their revenge, edging ViCi on Overpass after overtime (19-16) and closing the deal with a 16-11 victory on Train.
